What is about beginning?... 1946 year… Not long ago, the Great Patriotic War has been finished. From Bug to Volga rivers, the thousands of towns and villages were in ruins. The factories, plants, roads, high voltage lines, power objects, mines were destroyed. And only Ural and Siberia continued to give the products since namely there, saving from war, the hundreds of the enterprises, the thousands of units of the industrial equipment and experienced specialists of different profiles “moved” to. At such situation, the government decided to make a principal stake in a restoration of its economy as a development of an industry and creation of power base in Siberia. In 1950, an order of Ministry of electrotechnical industry of the USSR No. E-104 from 27.02.50 about a construction of the “Novosibirsk turbogenerator plant” for a production of the turbogenerators and large electric machines, was given. In 1951, the construction of the industrial objects of the enterprise was begun. At the end of 1952, the first shop intended for a production of the non-standard equipment, which, in January of 1953, issued its first products – the ATM-2000 electric machines, was organized. It was a first large success of the engineers, technologists, workers. December 30, 1953, is considered as a day of birth of the “Novosibirsk turbogenerator plant”. Really, from the first years of its operation, the enterprise began to issue the products of own developments. In 1958, the technical project of the unique turbogenerator with water and oil cooling system and paper and oil insulation was developed. The TBM generator, of capacity 60 MW, was mounted with the Novosibirsk TPP-2 where it was being in service already for about 50 years become an example of reliability, quality and effectiveness. In 1959, the serial issue of the asynchronous motors of АТД series, which would replace the ATM series, was begun. In 1957, the plant came to the foreign market, and at the list of the technical and economical highlights, at the first time, the following line was arisen: the products issue for export. The first export supplies were fulfilled to Poland and Romania. By the end of 1960 years of 20th century, “NTGZ” (“Novosibirsk turbogenerator plant”) became one of the leading plants of the country’s machine building. At the same time, on a base of the designing bureau of the plant, the Research Electrotechnical Institute was founded. In 1966, “NTGZ” was transformed into the Siberian plant of heavy electric machine building – “Sibelectrotyazhmash”. In 1970 years, the enterprise continued a development and commission of the new types of the products. The production of the asynchronous motors of АТД2 series with the significantly improved technical and economical; characteristics in comparison with the АТД series, was begun, the production of the vertical-shaft asynchronous electric motors of ABK-1000-1500 series was conquered. In 1974, the first motor for the circulating pumps of NPPs was produced. The specialists of the Research Institute and plant developed and conquered the technological process of the thermosetting insulation “Monolith-2”, the plant began to produce all the electric machines namely with this type of insulation. At the same time, the intensive work on a forming of the Quality Management System was running. More than 50 standards on a complex Quality Management System of the products were developed, that allowed to conquer an issue of 34 products with the State Sign of Quality. In 1980 years, the enterprise conquered actively a production of the products of the plant’s Research Institute development. In 1981, by the results of the All-Union competition for a reaching of the best results in the inventing, rationalizing and patent and license activities, the collective of the plant and Research Institute was acknowledged as a winner among the enterprises of the branch. In these years, the first testing patterns of the electric motors of 4АЗМ-2500 and 4АЗМ-5000 were produced, a production of the electric machine frequency converters of ППЧВ series and motors of АДО-1250 series was conquered. In 1987, the record number of the electric motors – 2312 pcs – was issued. In 1988, the enterprise was transformed into the Research and Production Corporation “Sibelectrotyazhmash". In 1989, the enterprise got a certificate for a right of export and import deals conduction become, therefore, a self-standing participant of the foreign economical activity. On a boundary of the centuries In 1990, the plant was transformed into a leasing enterprise “ELSIB”, and in 1992, - into the Available Joint-Stock Company - JSC “ELSIB”. Since 1990 years, the enterprise conquered an issue of a number of the new types of the products: •asynchronous motors of АДО, 2АДО series; •turbogenerators with water and oil cooling of TBM series of capacity 160 MW; •double speed explosion-proof motors of АДКВ series; •asynchronous electric motors of ВАО2Э and ВАОКЭ series; •asynchronous explosion-proof motors of АЗВ and АЗТВ series Since 1996, the serial production of the turbogenerators with air cooling of ТФ-50-2, ТФ-63-2, ТФ-100, ТФ-110-2, ТФ-125 series developed by the plant’s Research Institute, was begun. Besides the traditional products, the specialists of the plant’s Research Institute carried out a number of the developments of the special equipment: •vibro-seismic equipment for a vibro-influence from a ground surface to the oil layers for oil extraction improvement; •hydrogenerators for small HPPs; •wind electric plants ВЭС-10ТМ. Jointly with the specialists of the Novosibirsk State Technical University, the testing patterns of the electromechanical wheel additional forcing makers for VAZ cars to the further conquest of their production, were developed, produced and tested. By the confirmation of quality and reliability of the issuing products, it was become the getting, in 1996, of a certificate of compliance of Quality System to the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001-94 (Intercerting, St.-Petersburg), and in 1997, of a certificate of compliance of Quality System to the requirements of the international standard ISO-9001 (TUV CERT, Hamburg). The repeated audit inspection of Quality System, conducted in 2000, revealed a compliance of existing Quality System to the international standard ISO 9001. At the conditions of the self-standing own economical system, the enterprise presented itself as a reliable business partner too: 1995 – JSC “ELSIB” became a laureate of a competition of investment projects held within the International investment symposium “Siberia”, the diploma of Administration of Novosibirsk region was got. 1996 – The certificate of a laureate of Award-1996 – “For successful development of business in Siberia” and the official status “Reliable partner” were got. In 2001, JSC “ELSIB” was transformed into NPO “ELSIB” OAO by a jointing of the Research Institute “ELSIB”. At present time, the enterprise is one of the leading Russian producers of power equipment for thermal power plants (TPPs, PPs) and hydraulic power plants (HPPs), and also, electric motors of large capacity for a drive of the different industrial mechanisms (pumps, compressors, force pumps, and others). In 2001, NPO “ELSIB” OAO got a license of Gosatomnadzor of Siberian Division No.0439 which gave a right for a production of the turbogenerators for NPPs. In 2001, NPO “ELSIB” OAO was entitled in RAO “EES of Russia” for a conduction of: “Repair, mounting and alignment of equipment of the power industry objects” (Certificate No.Э-5-101501-04 from 15.10.2001), for a supply of equipment and spare parts to the objects of electric power industry (certificate No.Э-6-101501-04 from 15.10.2001), for “Inspection, testing and diagnosis of the objects of electric power industry” (certificate No.Э-8-101501-04 from 15.10.2001). NPO “ELSIB” OAO today For more than half a century history, the enterprise became one of the leading on a designing and production of the turbogenerators, hydrogenerators, high voltage asynchronous electric motors, other large electric machines, excitation systems. The enterprise supplies its products to the objects of power industry, oil and gas, coal, chemical and other branches of industry both to Russia and abroad. NPO “ELSIB” OAO is an enterprise which has a strong scientific and production base, own foundations and traditions. Today, about 30 % of installed generating power of the power plants in Russia belong to the generators of NPO “ELSIB”. The main directions of activity of NPO “ELSIB” for today: • designing and production of the turbogenerators with air, hydrogen and water and oil cooling at range of the capacities 6-500 MW; • designing and production of the hydrogenerators; • designing and production of the high voltage electric motors of capacity up to 16 MW; • designing and production of the excitation systems for the generators; • service – completing, turn-key, commission, repair and modernization of power equipment both of own production and other producers. Today, the number of the staff of company is about 1200-1300 people. The production base is concentrated as before on a single industrial site with almost full cycle of the production of equipment. In the structure of the enterprise, the designing and technological services carrying out the monitoring of the production process, designing and modernization of the products, are included.
