Hydrogenerators of original designs developed at NPO “ELSIB” produce power at 33 hydro-electric power stations in Russia, countries of the CIS, China, Syria.  First hydrogenerators by NPO “ELSIB” manufactured in 1956 with nominal capacity of 82.8mW, stator voltage 13.8kW and revolution rate 83.3 rpm were installed at the Irkutsk HPS, where they were used twice as long as their standard service life with use factor 0.92.

NPO “ELSIB” manufacture 153 hydrogenerators with total nominal capacity of 15.556 gW and upgraded 35 hydrogenerators with total nominal capacity of 3.029 gW for hydro-electric power stations of Russia, republics of the former USSR and foreign countries. 

Today the company has half-century experience in the area of designing and manufacturing hydrogenerators.  The products manufactured are certified, technical solutions and “know-how” are protected with patents. Our hydrogenerator construction specialists have more than 130 author's certificates and patents of the Russian Federation. NPO “ELSIB”-produced hydrogenerators with capacity of 25 to 300 mW having revolution rates from 50 to 333 rpm are successfully used for a long time at such HPSs of Russia as:    Irkutsk, Bratsk, Saratov, Nizhnekamsk, Cheboksary, Viluysk, Kolyma HPS – more than 30 stations in total.
